Born and brought up in Chennai, India, a picturesque metro that is never at a loss for good music. His first love, right from his school days, has been popular music, followed closely by Indian classical music. Trained in Western Classical Piano under Mr. John Jacob, of M/s Musee Musicals Chennai., Srikanth completed musical grades from Trinity College of Music, London, later trained under Music Director Mani Sharma, Chennai.

Srikanth was Pioneer in Chennai in using computers for music production in the early 1990s. Along with music director John Peter, he started producing music for advertisement jingles and background scores for various Tamil Television serials. Performed on stage with the band named "Alaapana". After migrating to the US in 1996, Srikanth produced and published instrumental singles via MP3.com. His instrumentals tracks topped the Mp3.com Indian charts . In the year 2000 Studio1234 came into Existence, Srikanth works from his studio - Studio1234, located near Washington DC USA.

2002 - Mahaakavi was released by Kriya Kreations - Chennai, a recording company owned by the renowned classical dancer Dr. Srinithi Chidambaram. This music album featured top play back singers like S.P.Balasubramanian, Sujatha and Srinivas. Mahaakavi was recorded and produced at his state-of-the-art music studio, "Studio1234" . Srikanth was also featured on Rediff.com

2003 saw Srikanth entering the world of short films. Thanks to Indian movie-makers who teamed up with him to score original background music for their films. These films have been featured in triggerstreet.com, a website owned by Academy award winner Kevin Spacey. His background score for the short movie Noose [Directed by Arun Vaidiyanathan] received raving reviews from the trigger street community.

2005 � Srikanth, released his popular H1BEES Music album. H1BEES made a musical waves in USA and around the world. Music album received raving press on National Public Radio  (NPR), BBC, radio France, AAj Tak, Headline news, The Washington Post, The Baltimore Sun and many other media outlets around the world.

2006, His Successful H1BEES music album paved way to float a record company called H1BEES Inc , teaming with his buddies Shankar Nagarajan and Srivatsa Srinivasan, also the executive producers for his next album titled PADAL. PADAL is a fantastic bouquet of joyous, romantic, humorous and classical Tamil songs steeped in culture, exploring a wide range of musical techniques and song concepts.

Apart from a composer, music producer director, Srikanth is also the corporate vice president of H1Bees Inc Entertainment, Media and Music Division and Sr. Techincal Architect by profession. Srikanth holds a master degree in Commerce/Business management from Madras University. If not for family, work or music, you would catch Srikanth listening to A.R.Rahman or worshipping Sachin Tendulkar's batting display.
